Sarah is the Co-Founder and Operational Strategist at Bone & Velvet Design Studio, bringing together financial expertise, operational leadership, and a passion for thoughtful design. As a CPA and experienced Controller, she helps guide the studio with strategic insight, ensuring creativity is supported by strong systems and sustainable growth.
Believing that great design is built on both structure and intention, Sarah plays a key role in shaping the studio’s vision, operations, and client experience. Her background in finance and leadership allows Bone & Velvet to deliver creative work that is as functional as it is beautiful. Driven by a commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous growth, Sarah helps create brands and spaces that are timeless, meaningful, and built to last.
Laura MacKenzie – Co-Founder & Creative Director
Laura MacKenzie is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bone & Velvet Design Studio, where she helps entrepreneurs transform ideas into thoughtful, memorable brands. With more than 20 years of experience in custom fixture manufacturing, branding, graphic design, and interior design, she combines strategic thinking with creative expertise to build brands that are both visually compelling and purpose-driven.
Her diverse background in design, logistics, and manufacturing gives her a unique ability to bridge creativity with practical business solutions. Whether developing a new brand identity, designing retail environments, or creating cohesive visual experiences, Laura believes every successful business starts with a story worth telling.
